The chakras are the energy wheels in the body. The first description is the chakra that appears at the top of the print and is traditionally considered the seventh chakra and they then descend down the painting as the chakras do through the body. Shri Yantra- Yantra means instrument and is used for concentration and visualization. Shri means what is abundant, auspicious and life enhancing. This yantra is a combination of nine intersecting triangles, four upward pointing Shiva triangles and five downward pointing Shakti triangles creating forty three small triangles representing cosmic existence. Shiva is the masculine aspect of the Divine, absolute consciousness. Shakti is the feminine creative power of the Divine. Shiva and Shakti are intertwined like the triangles.

The grand canyon image is for me a great dissolution that created tremendous beauty. The script is called devanagari and it is the first sutra of the Pratyabhijna Hrdayam Sutras (Recognition of the Heart) citih svatantra visva-siddhi-hetuh (Consciousness, in her freedom, brings about the attainment of the universe.)

Tripura Sundari Yantra- This Yantra embodies the transcendental consciousness. It’s source of inspiration, sincerity and youth. Tripura awakens the desire of aspiration for unity. The ocean represents the great ocean of consciousness. The script is called devanagari and it is the seventeenth sutra of the Pratyabhijna Hrdayam Sutras (Recognition of the Heart) madhya-vikasac cidananda-labhah(The bliss of Consciousness is attained through expansion of the center) it is repeated five times as if it were being chanted like a mantra.
